Colville Estate, Hackney

The masterplan of the Colville Estate regeneration replaces 438 existing homes with 925 new homes, of which approximately 50% will be Social Rent and Shared Ownership and 50% Market Sale.
I have been involved with the regeneration of the Colville Estate since 2011, contributing towards the landscape and public realm design as well as the management of utility infrastructure, flood risk, sustainable drainage and highways orders.
The development of the Colville Estate presented particular challenges with the diversion and build-over of strategic water mains, gas mains and sewers, especially since their positions conflicted against that demolition and build-out sequencing driven by tenancy and decant.
