St Raphael’s Estate, Brent

Lewis Hubbard Engineering provided civil and structural engineering design services for the development of the St Raphael’s Estate.

Including 500 council homes spread over 21.4Ha of land bordering the Brent River park, this complex site has many geological and hydrological constraints, which require careful engineering strategies to create a place that better suits the needs of the local community .

Working with Karakusevic Carson Architects, Periscope and Brent Council, we have contributed to wider masterplan analysis and progressed 195 new homes, park improvements and a new community centre to planning submission.

Our sustainable drainage and flood risk management strategies aim to reduce flood risk overall while our structural engineering proposals are promoting modern methods of construction to meet the Council’s needs for cost certainty, sustainability, and quality.
